Bone Mineral Density Agreement Study Between EOSedge™ Versus Traditional DXA

This study aims to compare bone mineral density (BMD) measurements from two different low-dose X-ray scans: EOSedge™ and traditional DXA. We want to see if the T-scores (a measure of bone density) calculated from both types of scans agree. You might be able to join if you are healthy and need an EOSedge™ scan for a spine or orthopedic condition as part of your regular medical care. The study is looking for 214 participants. The main goal is to see how well the T-scores from the two different X-ray methods match up.

Study design
This is a multi-center, prospective, controlled study comparing two imaging methods. It plans to enroll 214 participants.
What's involved
You will have both an EOSedge™ scan and a DXA scan, ideally on the same day but possibly up to 60 days apart. You will also complete a questionnaire and provide some demographic and diagnostic information.

    Calculation of EOSedge BMD will be post-processed from the bi-planar EOSedge 2E radiographs, and is measured in g/cm² surface mass on four lumbar vertebrae (L1-L4) in the anteroposterior (AP) projection.
