Pip Care to Improve Surgical Patient Outcomes

This study is testing if using the Pip Care Digital Health Platform can improve outcomes for patients having abdominal surgery. The Pip Care platform is a smartphone app that connects you with a health coach. This coach helps you create a personalized plan before and after surgery and offers support. This is compared to the usual care you would receive. The study is looking to see if using Pip Care can shorten your hospital stay and reduce the chance of being readmitted to the hospital within 30 days after surgery. You might be able to join if you are an adult, at least 18 years old, have a planned elective surgery within 2 to 8 weeks, and have daily access to a smartphone or tablet. The current status of this study is unclear.
