At-Home Resistance Band Training for Older Adults
This study is looking at how practical and effective a 24-week at-home exercise program using THERABand resistance exercise bands is for older adults (age 50 and up) who have sarcopenic obesity (a condition with both low muscle mass and high body fat). You would do these exercises twice a week at home. The main goal is to see if people can stick to the exercise plan at least 50% of the time. The study also aims to see if this training can improve body composition and physical performance. To join, you need to speak English and receive care at the UT Physician Center for Healthy Aging. We are looking for 40 participants, but the current recruitment status is unclear.
