Workshops for Social Anxiety in Undergraduates
This study is looking at four different versions of a workshop designed to help college students with social anxiety (feeling very nervous in social situations) and public speaking fears. The workshops are called Group Exposure for Social Anxiety, Self-Compassion Enhanced Group Exposure Therapy for Social Anxiety, Peer-Enhanced Group Exposure Therapy for Social Anxiety, and Peer and Self-Compassion Enhanced Group Exposure Therapy for Social Anxiety. To join, you must be an undergraduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder, between 18 and 30 years old, and have certain levels of social anxiety and communication anxiety. The study aims to see how many people enroll and attend the workshops, and how acceptable the workshops are to participants. The study plans to enroll up to 200 students.
