Studying AI's Impact on Polyp Detection During Colonoscopy
This study is looking at how artificial intelligence (AI) can help doctors-in-training find polyps (small growths) during a colonoscopy. During a colonoscopy, a camera is used to look inside your colon to find and remove polyps, which can sometimes turn into cancer. We know that trainees can miss some polyps. This study will compare colonoscopies done by trainees with and without the help of a computer-aided detection (CADe) system, which is a type of AI. The main goal is to see if using AI helps trainees miss fewer polyps. You could be eligible if you are an adult needing a screening or surveillance colonoscopy. The study aims to enroll 180 participants.
