This study is looking at whether giving Amiodarone Hydrochloride Injection earlier to people experiencing out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (when the heart suddenly stops beating) due to a specific heart rhythm (ventricular fibrillation or ventricular tachycardia) can improve how quickly the medication is given. Researchers want to see if giving Amiodarone after the second defibrillator shock, at the same time as epinephrine, is better than the usual care protocol, which gives Amiodarone after the third defibrillator shock. You could be eligible if you are 18 or older, have had a non-traumatic out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, and have a specific heart rhythm that doesn't respond to the first defibrillation.
