This study is looking at whether adjusting daily or nightly routines can help young people aged 11-17 with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) improve their executive functioning (skills like working memory, flexible thinking, and self-control). It also wants to see if these changes are acceptable to participants. You could be eligible if you have an ADHD diagnosis, live in the greater Tucson, AZ area, and have a guardian willing to participate. The study will compare two different approaches: one focusing on improving sleep (Sleep Extension) and another on modifying a daily routine (Daytime Routine). Success would mean improvements in sleep duration, how consistent your sleep is, and overall sleep quality.

Study design
This is an interventional pilot study involving up to 25 adolescents. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: night routines or daily routines.

Located in the greater Tucson, AZ area

Exclusion

Clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder
Clinical diagnosis of an intellectual disability
Clinical diagnosis of psychosis
Clinical diagnosis of bipolar disorder

    Actigraphy data will be used to determine changes in sleep duration pre and post intervention. Average total sleep time during the baseline period will be compared to average total sleep time during the intervention period.
