Food DNA Digestion Study
This study is looking at how quickly naturally occurring food DNA moves through the human digestive system. We want to understand how long it takes for food DNA to be digested and leave the body. Participants will take a special reconstitutable food powder (a mix of Gatorade Zero Powder and camu camu, kelp, or similar powders) and provide stool samples. We expect that most food DNA will pass through the digestive system within 24 hours. This research is for healthy adults aged 18 and older who can provide stool samples and have access to the MSRBIII building. The study is currently recruiting 20 participants.
