Working Memory Training for Mild Cognitive Impairment

This study is testing if a special computer program called CogMed can help improve memory in people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which is an early stage of memory problems. Researchers also want to see if CogMed can help reduce stress. They are looking for about 10 participants aged 50 or older who meet the Mayo Clinic criteria for MCI and have internet access. You also need to be able to speak and read English, or have a family member who can translate. The study will measure changes in your working memory and stress levels at the beginning and again three months after the training. They are also exploring if CogMed affects a blood marker related to Alzheimer's disease, called p-Tau 217.

Study design
This is an interventional study comparing CogMed training plus usual care to usual care alone, with a planned enrollment of 10 participants.
