Understanding Cardiovascular Risk in Menopause

This study is looking at how the nervous system and blood vessels interact in women going through menopause. Researchers want to understand why women have a higher risk of heart disease as they age. They will use two medications, Propranolol Hydrochloride and Phentolamine Injection, to see how they affect this interaction. The study is open to women aged 18 to 70 with a BMI (Body Mass Index) under 30. You cannot participate if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have used hormonal contraception recently. The main goal is to measure how the nervous system affects blood vessels during a single study visit. The current recruitment status is unclear, and the study plans to enroll 75 participants.

Study design
This interventional study plans to enroll 75 women. It is not specified if it is randomized or blinded.
What's involved
You would participate in a single study visit where sympathetic transduction is measured.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
The primary endpoint is measured at 1 day, indicating a short follow-up period.
