Smoking Cessation Support for Sexual and Gender Minorities

This study is testing a program called "Empowering Cessation for the ACS South" to help people quit smoking. All participants will receive a free smoking cessation app from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and 12 weeks of mailed over-the-counter Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), such as patches, gum, or lozenges. Half of the participants will also get to join online volunteer activities and a digital hub for social support. The study is looking to see if people can successfully quit smoking for at least 7 days, confirmed by a test, 26 weeks after their quit date. You can join if you are between 18 and 100 years old, identify as a sexual and/or gender minority, and are not currently using other smoking cessation treatments or have serious psychological distress. The current status of this study is unclear.
