Feasibility Testing of the Ventricular Assist Device Anticipatory Guidance Tool

This study is testing a new tool called the Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Anticipatory Guidance (AG) Tool. This tool aims to better prepare patients for what to expect after receiving a VAD, which is a mechanical pump that helps the heart pump blood in people with advanced heart failure. While there are many resources to help you decide if a VAD is right for you, this tool focuses on understanding life after the implant. Researchers want to see if this tool helps improve patient care by providing more information about satisfaction and concerns at different times after a VAD implant. You may be able to join if you are at least 19 years old, speak English, and are scheduled to receive a VAD. The study will look at what clinicians (healthcare providers) think about the tool in the first two weeks of the study.
