Early Neuromodulation in Traumatic Brain Injury

This study is looking at how a treatment called anodal transcranial electrical stimulation (A-tES) might help people who have had a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). A-tES uses a device to deliver a mild electrical current to the brain, which may help the brain heal and improve thinking skills. Researchers want to see how brain activity changes over time after a TBI and if A-tES can improve thinking and brain activity. You might be able to join if you are 18-80 years old, have had a moderate to severe TBI, and meet other specific health criteria. The study will measure your cognitive task behavior and brain activity (EEG oscillatory power) for up to 6 months after your brain injury. The current status of this study is unclear, but it plans to enroll 60 participants.

Study design
