Study of 11C-JMJ-129 for Brain and Body Imaging
This study is looking for healthy volunteers aged 18 to 101 to help researchers learn more about a protein called PDE4D, which is involved in thinking and depression. We are testing a new substance called 11C-JMJ-129, which is given through an IV and then followed by PET scans. This substance is designed to attach to PDE4D so we can see it in the brain and body. Early studies showed that 11C-JMJ-129 might break down too quickly, making it hard to get clear images. This study will help us understand how 11C-JMJ-129 works in the body and if a medication called disulfiram can improve the imaging results. We plan to enroll 40 healthy participants to measure how much of the substance is distributed in the brain after 120 minutes.
- Study design
- This is an interventional study involving 40 healthy volunteers. It focuses on understanding how 11C-JMJ-129 works in the body.
- What's involved
- You would receive an IV injection of 11C-JMJ-129 followed by PET scanning. The primary measurement will be taken at 120 minutes.
- Compensation
- Not stated in the trial record.
- Follow-up
- The primary endpoint is measured at 120 minutes after the injection.
