Heat Therapy and Mobility in Long COVID Survivors
This study, called "Heat thErapy And mobiLity in COVID-19 Survivors," is looking at new ways to help people aged 50-90 who have long COVID (PASC, or Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection). Many people with long COVID have ongoing tiredness or difficulty with physical activities. This trial is testing if at-home lower body heat therapy can improve physical abilities and overall health. Some participants will receive heat therapy, others a sham (inactive) treatment, and some will do a walking intervention. We'll measure success by looking at how far you can walk in 6 minutes, your physical performance (Short Physical Performance Battery Test), and the stiffness of your arteries after 8 weeks. We're looking for 99 participants who have had COVID-19 and still have symptoms for at least two months, and who don't have certain other health conditions.
