Study of 18F-JSS20-183A for Tauopathies

This study is testing a new imaging agent called 18F-JSS20-183A. Researchers want to see how this agent moves through your body, how it's processed, and how much of it reaches your brain. The goal is to use 18F-JSS20-183A with a PET scan (a type of imaging) to find a specific protein called 4Rtau, which builds up in the brains of people with conditions like Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS), and certain types of Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration (FTLD). People with Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and healthy volunteers between 40 and 85 years old can join this study.

    Determine biodistribution of the radioactive investigational drug, 18F-JSS20-183A and calculate human dosimetry. A second IV or an arterial line may be placed in the arm contralateral to the side of injection for blood metabolite analysis and/or radioactive counts at various times during the scanning session. Biodistribution, metabolism, excretion and pilot brain uptake data will be collected and human dosimetry will be calculated.
