Family Engagement Strategy for Coordinated Specialty Care

This study, called FAMES, is looking at ways to better involve family members and support people in mental health services for individuals experiencing early psychosis. It compares two approaches: one where you connect with a family peer for 12 weeks who helps build rapport and understanding (FAMES), and another where you receive 12 weeks of automated messages with positive information, reminders, and resources (Control). The goal is to see if FAMES helps family members engage more in coordinated specialty care (CSC) psychoeducation and in the FAMES strategy itself. You can join if you are 18 or older and are a family member or support person of someone who started CSC services within the last 6 months. The study is currently recruiting 900 participants, but its overall status is unclear.
