Study of Stem Cell Transplant for Crohn's Disease

This study is looking at a special type of stem cell transplant (HSCT) for children and young adults (ages 2-30) with Crohn's disease that started early in life or is caused by a specific genetic problem, and hasn't responded to other treatments. The transplant uses stem cells from a partially matched donor, which are specially prepared using the CliniMACS® TCR α/β Reagent Kit and CliniMACS® CD19 System. You would also receive medicines like Prednisone/Methylprenisolone, Palifermin, ATG, and Clofarabine. Researchers want to see if this treatment is safe and effective in helping your body's immune system work better to control Crohn's disease. They will measure success by checking for new healthy blood cells at 42 days, serious transplant-related complications at 90 and 180 days, and if your Crohn's disease is in remission after 2 years.
