Using Personal Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) in the Hospital for Diabetes Control
This study is looking at whether using your personal continuous glucose monitor (CGM) while you're in the hospital can help manage your diabetes better. Researchers will monitor your CGM data in real-time and use it, along with your regular blood sugar readings, to adjust your insulin doses. The goal is to improve your blood sugar control and reduce episodes of very high or very low blood sugar. You might be able to join if you are an adult with diabetes, are already using a personal CGM, are receiving insulin, and are expected to stay in the hospital for more than 48 hours in a non-intensive care unit (non-ICU) setting or through an Advanced Care at Home Program. The study will compare blood sugar levels and the amount of time your blood sugar stays in a healthy range.

- This is a single-center, randomized, unblinded, crossover study involving 150 participants. It will compare two groups: one where CGM data is continuously accessed and one where it is not.

- You will share 14 days of your outpatient CGM data and all CGM data recorded during your hospital stay. You will also continue to monitor your CGM with your personal reader/phone and inform nurses of any alarms.
