Tumor-Lymph Node Mapping Study for Pediatric Solid Tumors

This study is looking at a diagnostic test called ICG (Indocyanine Green) to help doctors find lymph nodes in children with solid tumors. ICG is a special dye that helps light up lymph nodes during surgery. The goal is to see how well and safely ICG can help find these lymph nodes in pediatric patients (under 18 years old) who need lymph node sampling as part of their cancer care. This study is for children being treated at the University of Rochester Medical Center who have a pediatric solid tumor like rhabdomyosarcoma, sarcoma, or germ cell tumor. The main thing they are measuring is the percentage of patients where ICG successfully helps find the sentinel lymph node (the first lymph node to which cancer cells are likely to spread). Eligibility criteria

Inclusion

Any pediatric patient (under the age of 18 years) being treated at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Department of Surgery.
Diagnosed with pediatric solid tumor
Scheduled to undergo lymph node sampling as part of their clinical management.

Exclusion

Subjects with a history of iodide allergies.
Inability or unwillingness of research participant or parent/legal guardian to give written informed consent.
Currently pregnant.
Infants under 650 grams.
Patients with extensive prior surgery at the primary site or nodal basin expected to affect the lymphatic drainage.
