Comparing PENG and Femoral Blocks for Hip Fracture Pain

This study is comparing two types of nerve blocks, the PENG block and the femoral block, to see which is better at reducing pain for people with hip fractures. Both blocks use the same medication, a mix of Bupivacaine, epinephrine, and Dexamethasone, to numb the area. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, have a hip fracture, and are able to give consent. The study will look at how much your pain changes one hour after receiving the block. The study is currently enrolling about 352 participants.

Study design
This study is interventional and will compare two different nerve block techniques. Participants will receive either a PENG block or a femoral block based on a monthly schedule.
