This study is looking for people aged 18 and older with cytopenia (low blood counts) or suspected/confirmed Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS). The goal is to develop a new, less invasive diagnostic test called PERIBLOOD-MDS. Currently, MDS is diagnosed using a bone marrow biopsy, which can be uncomfortable. This study will analyze your peripheral blood (blood from a vein, like a regular blood draw) to see if it can accurately diagnose MDS, count blast cells (immature blood cells), and check your chromosomes (karyotype). Your blood will be analyzed at the Weizmann Institute of Science. The researchers hope this new test can reduce the need for bone marrow evaluations.
