NEUROBALANCE Stroke Study: Robotic Training and Brain Stimulation for Balance
This study, called "NEUROBALANCE Stroke," is looking at whether combining robotic balance training with a type of noninvasive brain stimulation (high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation) can improve balance in people who have had a stroke. It will compare this combined approach to robotic training with a sham (inactive) stimulation, and to standard balance training. The study aims to enroll 45 participants, aged 18 to 75, who experienced an ischemic stroke at least 6 months ago and still have balance problems. Success will be measured by changes in your balance ability using the Berg Balance Scale. The current status of this study is unclear.
