Study of Bearables Gastrostomy Tube Dressing
This study is looking at how well a new prototype dressing, called the Bearables Gastrostomy Tube Dressing, works for people with gastrostomy tubes (feeding tubes placed directly into the stomach). The dressing has a rigid, 3D-printed part that holds the tube in place. We want to see if this dressing can reduce problems like the tube coming out or other complications. We are looking for patients aged 7 to 21 years who are either getting a gastrostomy tube or had one placed within the last five days. You cannot join if you have a skin condition that would prevent the dressing from being placed. The study aims to enroll 75 participants.

- Rates Gastrostomy Tube Dislodgement Before and After Dressing PlacementUp to one year
Current rates of gastrostomy tube complications and dislodgement will be evaluated with our retrospective review, then compared to rates of complications and dislodgement after our novel dressing placement. This was chosen as complications after gastrostomy tube placement are high, and we believe that our dressing will lower them.
