Preventing Athlete Under-fueling Through Nutrition
This study is looking for NCAA Division III athletes at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) who are 18 years or older to participate. The goal is to prevent athletes from under-fueling by providing nutrition screening and support. You would receive screenings for low energy availability, strength and body composition assessments, and nutrition advice from a sports dietitian throughout your competitive season. Researchers will measure your grip strength at the beginning, middle, and end of the season to see if the nutrition support helps. This study builds on previous research at CWRU that showed nutrition support can improve athletes' health and performance.
