Tilmanocept for Cardiac Sarcoidosis Imaging

This study is looking into whether a special imaging technique using Tc 99m tilmanocept can help identify cardiac sarcoidosis, a condition where inflammatory cells grow in the heart. Researchers will give participants Tc 99m tilmanocept either through an IV (into a vein) or SC (under the skin) injection, followed by a SPECT-CT scan. The main goal is to see if the areas of the heart that show uptake of tilmanocept match the areas that show uptake of another imaging agent called fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) on a different type of scan (PET-CT). This study plans to enroll 15 participants who are at least 18 years old. The current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
This interventional study plans to enroll 15 participants. It is designed to compare imaging results from two different ways of giving Tc 99m tilmanocept.
What's involved
You would receive an injection of Tc 99m tilmanocept (either IV or under the skin) and then have a SPECT-CT imaging scan. The primary endpoint is measured at the time of the scan (Baseline).
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
The primary endpoint is measured at the time of the scan (Baseline).

Correlation between the cardiac segments with tilmanocept uptake and the cardiac segments with fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake on cardiac PET-CT. For each imaging modality, a standard 17-segment cardiac model will be used.
