Chronic Low Back Pain and Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment
This study is looking into whether adding Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) to the usual care you receive at the VA can better help people with chronic low back pain (pain lasting over 3 months). OMT involves hands-on techniques like stretching and gentle pressure to your muscles and joints. We are looking for 48 adults, aged 18 and older, who have chronic low back pain and are seeking care at a participating VA clinic. To see if the treatment is successful, we will measure your low back pain intensity at the start, after 12 weeks, and again at 24 weeks. The current recruitment status is unclear.
- Study design
- This study plans to enroll 48 participants. You would be randomly assigned to either receive usual VA care or usual VA care plus OMT.

- Follow-up
- Your pain intensity will be measured at 12 weeks and again at 24 weeks after starting the study.
