Project CLARITY: Understanding Cigarillo Use in Young Adults
This study, called Project CLARITY, is looking for young adults (ages 18-24) who currently use cigarillos. The goal is to understand how different flavored cigarillos affect smoking behavior and perceptions. You would be assigned to use one of three cigarillo brands (Cigarillo brand 1, Cigarillo brand 2, or Cigarillo brand 3) and researchers will observe your puffing behavior, how you feel about smoking, and measure carbon monoxide in your breath. They will also look at the ingredients in the cigarillos. The study aims to see how different flavors impact how appealing cigarillos are and how this might affect decisions to quit or switch tobacco products under different policy rules. We are looking for 300 participants, and the study status is currently unclear.
