This study is looking at whether low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) can help healthcare workers with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related symptoms. LIFU is a device that uses sound waves to target a specific area of the brain called the ventral anterior cingulate cortex (vACC). Researchers want to see if LIFU can change brain activity and reduce PTSD symptoms. You might be able to join if you are a frontline healthcare worker between 18 and 65 years old, have certain PTSD symptom scores, and speak English. The study will compare LIFU to a sham modulation, which is like a placebo device, to see if LIFU truly makes a difference.
