This study aims to understand if short videos can help Vietnamese American mothers decide to vaccinate their children against HPV (human papillomavirus), which can prevent certain cancers. We are looking for Vietnamese American mothers, aged 18 or older, who are the main caregiver for an unvaccinated child between 11 and 14 years old, and can speak and read English or Vietnamese. You would need to agree to receive text messages or emails. Participants will be randomly assigned to watch either four short stories about the HPV vaccine, created by Vietnamese mothers (Digital Intervention for Vietnamese-American Storytelling - VIDAS), or four short videos about general teen health topics like mental health. We will measure if your child starts the HPV vaccine and your intention to vaccinate your child over a two-month period. The study plans to enroll 60 participants, but the current recruitment status is unclear.
