This study, called WJCOIN-II, is looking for women in Kentucky who are transitioning from jail to rural communities and are at risk of overdose due to opioid or stimulant use disorder. The goal is to reduce overdose risk during this high-risk time. You would be assigned to one of four groups that receive different combinations of an Overdose Prevention Intervention Package (OPIP). This package includes things like Recovery Coaching (RC) and potentially involving a support person (SPE). Researchers will measure your overdose risk at 3, 6, and 12 months after release, and whether you start treatment within one month after release. To join, you must be a woman aged 18 or older with a diagnosis of opioid and/or stimulant use disorder, have a release date within 7-60 days, and be willing to consider treatment and provide contact information for a community support person.
