HEAL-SLE: Virtual Reiki for Lupus Symptoms

This study is testing Virtual Reiki Therapy as an additional treatment for people with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), a chronic autoimmune disease. The goal is to see if Virtual Reiki Therapy can help improve lupus symptoms, how practical it is to offer, and if people find it acceptable. You could be eligible if you are an adult (18 or older) with an SLE diagnosis, are currently receiving standard treatment for SLE at NYU Langone Orthopedic Center, and are willing to participate in 8 weekly virtual Reiki sessions. The study will measure changes in your symptoms using a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) at different points during the 8 weeks. The current status of this study is unclear, and it plans to enroll 20 participants.
