Virtual Reality for Pain and Anxiety During Bone Marrow Biopsy
This study is looking at whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset (Quest 3 by Meta) can help reduce pain and anxiety during and after a bone marrow biopsy (BMB) or bone marrow aspiration (BMA). You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, have a blood cancer (hematologic malignancy) or are suspected of having one, and are scheduled for an outpatient BMB/BMA. The study will compare the usual care (Standard of Care) to usual care plus wearing a VR headset. Researchers will measure your pain right after the procedure to see if the VR headset made a difference. The study aims to enroll 160 participants.
