HOPE-BP 2.0: Postpartum Blood Pressure Monitoring Duration

This study, HOPE-BP 2.0, is looking at the best length of time for remote blood pressure monitoring after childbirth for people who had high blood pressure during pregnancy (hypertensive disorders of pregnancy or HDP). Currently, these monitoring programs can last from 2 to 6 weeks, but doctors aren't sure which duration is most effective. The study will compare two groups: one receiving 2-Week Home Monitoring and another receiving 6-Week Home Monitoring. The main goal is to see how these different monitoring durations affect your diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number in a blood pressure reading) at Week 6. You may be able to join if you are 18 or older, delivered at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, and are already enrolled in their HOPE-BP program. The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 400 participants.

Study design
This interventional study plans to enroll 400 women who will be randomly assigned to either 2-Week Home Monitoring or 6-Week Home Monitoring.
What's involved
Participants will submit blood pressure readings twice daily via Epic's MyChart Care Companion for either 2 or 6 weeks, depending on their assigned group.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
The primary endpoint, diastolic blood pressure, is measured at Week 6.
