This study aims to improve the use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) testing in men with metastatic prostate cancer at Johns Hopkins. NGS helps doctors make treatment decisions and find clinical trials. The study will try to increase testing rates by providing information to both doctors and patients. Doctors will receive emails about their testing rates compared to others, along with national guidelines. Patients will receive a one-page educational email or mail about advanced prostate cancer, including information on NGS testing. The study will measure the rate of NGS testing one year after these interventions. You may be able to join if you are a man aged 18 or older with metastatic prostate cancer, seen as a new patient at Johns Hopkins Medical Oncology between January 2025 and December 2026, and have not already had NGS testing.
