Methamphetamine Use Disorder Support in Heart Failure Pilot Study
This study is looking at ways to help people with both heart failure (when your heart can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs) and methamphetamine use disorder. It will test a program that combines managing methamphetamine use with standard heart failure care. You might receive behavioral counseling, motivational interviewing, and a plan that rewards you for staying off methamphetamine. Some people might also get medication for methamphetamine use disorder. The study will also make sure you're getting the best possible care for your heart failure. To join, you need to be at least 18 years old, have heart failure with a specific heart pumping ability (left ventricular ejection fraction ≤ 40%), and be actively using methamphetamine but want to stop. The study will look at how well these methods help people stop using methamphetamine and improve their heart failure care over 6 months. The current recruitment status is unclear.

- Abstinence from MethamphetamineFrom enrollment to the end of intervention at 6 months
The rate of abstinence from meth will be defined as the percentage of negative urine toxicology results/number of visits. A total of 36 visits/person to the Heart Failure clinic over the 6 months of follow-up will be scheduled.

Guideline-directed medical therapies (GDMT) optimization will be evaluated by percentage prescribed all 4 GDMT drug classes
