Ripe for Revival: Mobile Produce Market Voucher Study

This study is looking at how a mobile produce market, called Ripe for Revival, can help people eat more fruits and vegetables. It's testing if providing $20 monthly vouchers to shop at the market can improve diet and health for people in rural North Carolina who are at risk of not having enough food (food insecurity). The study will measure changes in your skin carotenoids (a marker of fruit and vegetable intake) and how much fruit and vegetables you eat over 12-16 weeks. We are looking for 150 adults, aged 18 or older, who speak English or Spanish, are part of an NC Cooperative Extension program, and are willing to use the vouchers at the Ripe for Revival mobile market. The current recruitment status is unclear.
