MOBoxy: MoblO2 for COPD and ILD
This study, called MOBoxy, is testing a device called MoblO2 to help people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or interstitial lung disease (ILD) maintain their oxygen levels. The MoblO2 device will be attached to oxygen tanks and will either collect data without controlling oxygen flow, or collect data and control oxygen flow. The main goal is to see how the MoblO2 device affects your moderately vigorous physical activity (MVPA) over two weeks. You might be able to join if you have COPD or ILD, are prescribed oxygen for activity, are at least 25 years old, and have stable symptoms. The study is currently recruiting participants.
- Study design
- This is an unblinded, cross-over study involving 48 participants. It compares using the MoblO2 device with and without controlling oxygen flow.
- What's involved
- You will wear an activity monitor for three weeks. For two of those weeks, you will use D tanks with the MoblO2 system provided by the study.
- Compensation
- Not stated in the trial record.
- Follow-up
- The primary endpoint for activity is measured at 1 week with the MoblO2 controlling oxygen flow and 1 week with MoblO2 not controlling oxygen flow.
