Cognitive Rehabilitation for Anger in Veterans with TBI and PTSD

This study is looking for U.S. Veterans who served since 9/11/01, are at least 18 years old, and have both a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with anger problems. You should also report current problems with cognitive function and be fluent in English. The study is testing an intervention called CALM (Cognitive Apps for Life Management), which uses cognitive strategies to help Veterans improve goal-setting, planning, and self-monitoring. Researchers want to see if CALM can reduce anger, impulsivity, and executive dysfunction, and improve social functioning and PTSD symptoms, compared to a control group receiving psychoeducation. The study aims to enroll 100 Veterans.

Study design
This is a randomized clinical trial, meaning participants will be assigned by chance to either the CALM group or a control group. The study plans to enroll 100 Veterans.
