Observational Study for Gastric Cancer Recurrence Detection

This study is looking for people with gastric cancer who have had surgery to remove their tumor. The goal is to find a better way to detect if any cancer cells remain (minimal residual disease, or MRD) and predict if the cancer might spread (distant metastasis) before it's visible on scans. Researchers will use two diagnostic tests, small RNA-seq or array and the ENLIGHT Assay, to look at tiny genetic materials called exosomal microRNAs (exo-miRNAs) in your blood samples. This could help doctors decide on the best follow-up care. The study aims to enroll 500 participants. We don't know the current recruitment status.

Study design
This is an observational study, meaning participants will be monitored without receiving a new treatment. It plans to enroll 500 participants.
What's involved
You would need to provide pre- and postoperative plasma samples. Your clinical follow-up data regarding recurrence or metastasis will also be used.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Your recurrence-free survival (how long you live without the cancer coming back) will be measured for up to 5 years.
