This study, called I-DECIDE, is looking at ways to improve follow-up care for babies and young children (ages 0 to 24 months) who have been hospitalized for bronchiolitis (a common lung infection). Currently, many children have automatic follow-up appointments that may not be necessary. This study compares two different strategies: a Moderate-Resource Implementation Strategy and a High-Resource Implementation Strategy. Both strategies aim to help doctors prescribe "as-needed" (PRN) follow-up care more often and reduce unnecessary follow-up visits for families. The study will measure how well these strategies are adopted within 7 days of a child leaving the hospital. We are looking to enroll about 2700 children who were diagnosed with bronchiolitis and discharged from a general inpatient service, excluding those with certain pre-existing health conditions.
