This study is testing a new approach called the PEACE Intervention, led by a chaplain and clinician, for patients with advanced cancer. The PEACE Intervention involves two sessions, each lasting 30-60 minutes, focused on your spiritual and religious beliefs related to medical care. We want to see if this intervention is practical and helpful for patients. We'll compare it to usual care, which includes a full evaluation of your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs by a supportive/palliative care team. You may be able to join if you have advanced cancer and are receiving care at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and if you believe your faith encourages you to accept all possible medical treatment to live longer. We're looking to enroll 60 participants. We'll know the study is successful if at least 70% of participants attend all sessions, report satisfaction, and would recommend the PEACE Intervention to others.
