AI-Driven Approach to Optimize Patient Selection for a Transitional Pain Service

This study is testing if a special pain management program, called a Transitional Pain Service (TPS), can help prevent long-term pain and reduce the need for opioid medications after surgery. It focuses on adult patients who are at higher risk for ongoing pain. The study also wants to see if a computer tool, TPS-Select, can better identify these high-risk patients. If you join, you might receive support from the TPS, which includes personalized pain plans from a pharmacist (Pharmacologic Pain Management), possible Interventional Pain Procedures, online learning modules (Psychological Management and Pain Education), and Physical Therapy. The main goal is to see if this program reduces chronic (long-lasting) pain 90 days after surgery. This study is currently unclear about its recruitment status.
