Educational Handout for Gender-affirming Hysterectomy

This study is testing whether a special educational handout can help transgender or non-binary individuals make decisions about gender-affirming hysterectomy (surgery to remove the uterus) with or without oophorectomy (surgery to remove the ovaries). The handout reviews the benefits and risks of keeping or removing ovaries. You may be able to join if you are 18-65 years old, assigned female at birth, desire gender-affirming hysterectomy, and speak English. The study wants to enroll 250 people. Researchers will measure how much decisional conflict (difficulty making a choice) you experience on Day 1 after receiving the handout.
