This study aims to understand how protein intake affects the measurement of renal reserve (the kidney's ability to increase its filtering work) using a new device called the MediBeacon Transdermal Glomerular Filtration Rate (tGFR) Measurement System. You would receive an intravenous (IV) injection of Lumitrace and have the MediBeacon sensor placed on your chest. Researchers will then measure your estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), which indicates how well your kidneys are filtering waste. The study is looking for 25 adult volunteers, aged 18 and older, who have an eGFR greater than 30 ml/min/1.73 m². The goal is to see if this system can accurately assess renal reserve, which is typically measured after a high-protein meal.
