TMS for PTSD in Youth

This study is looking at whether transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can help young people aged 12-20 who still have symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after completing talk therapy. TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain. The study will involve 20 participants and aims to see if TMS is a safe and helpful treatment. We will measure side effects, adverse events, and how many participants complete the treatment. To join, you must be 12-20 years old, have completed at least 9 sessions of trauma-focused therapy, and have a current self-reported PTSD symptom score of 20 or higher on the UCLA PTSD Reaction Index. You also need to be willing to attend 10 TMS treatment sessions within 30 days and be fluent in English. The current status of this study is unclear.
