Comparing Radiation Types for Gynecologic Cancers

This study is for women with newly diagnosed endometrial or cervical cancer. It compares two standard radiation treatments: Volume Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) and Intensity Modulated Proton Therapy (IMPT). Both treatments involve radiation given in small daily doses (45-50.4 Gy in 1.8-2 Gy fractions) along with weekly cisplatin chemotherapy. The main goal is to see if one type of radiation causes fewer gastrointestinal side effects within two years after treatment. You would be randomly assigned to receive either VMAT or IMPT.
