Healthy Volunteers Enteral Nutrition Study (HEN)

This study is looking at how special liquid diets, called enteral nutrition, affect healthy people. We want to understand the effects of two different diets: one where you get 60% of your calories from Kate Farms Peptide 1.5 and 40% from a Crohn's disease exclusion diet (chicken, eggs, potatoes, bananas, apples), and another where you get 100% of your calories from Kate Farms Peptide 1.5. This research will help us learn more about how these diets impact your gut, specifically looking at how quickly food moves through your colon. We are enrolling 25 healthy volunteers between 18 and 70 years old who can read and understand English. We are looking for people with a BMI between 20 and 30, no significant weight loss, and no kidney disease, cirrhosis, or anemia. The main goal is to measure how many "sitz markers" (small rings you swallow to track colon movement) are left after 72 hours.

Study design
This is an outpatient randomized controlled trial with 20 healthy volunteers. Participants will be assigned to one of two diet groups for 3 days.
What's involved
Participants will follow a specific diet for 3 days and take a sitzmark capsule. The primary measurement is taken 72 hours after taking the capsule.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
The primary endpoint is measured at 72 hours after taking the sitzmark capsule.
