Image-Guided DBS Programming for Essential Tremor
This study is comparing two ways to program your Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) device for Essential Tremor (ET): standard clinical programming versus image-guided programming. The goal is to see which method is better at reducing tremor and making patients more satisfied. You might be able to join if you are between 21 and 85 years old, have ET, and already have a Boston Scientific DBS device implanted in the VIM thalamus (a part of the brain). The main way success will be measured is by how much your tremor severity (how strong your tremor is) improves after one month, using a device called an accelerometer. The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 20 participants.

1\. The Xsens MTw Awinda accelerometer will be used to measure tremor severity. Measurements will be taken at baseline (DBS off) and after each stimulation setting. The accelerometry data can be objectively measured by quantifying the frequency and amplitude of the tremors and has been shown to correlate with the CRST.
