This study is looking for a way to objectively measure how well people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) follow certain diets. Researchers want to see if a specific marker in your stool, called GIP (Gluten immunogenic Peptides), can show how much of certain carbohydrates, like fructo-oligosaccharides, you're eating. You would be assigned to either Diet A, which limits certain carbohydrates, or Diet B, a healthy eating diet. The study aims to see if GIP levels in your stool correlate with your carbohydrate intake after four weeks. This could help doctors better understand how diet affects IBS. The study is open to adults aged 18 to 65 who have IBS.
